Ingredients

  • 300 g Brioche
  • 40 cl milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Vanilla Pod
  • 30 g Cane Sugar
  • 30 g Dark Brown Soft Sugar

Instructions

  • Cut the vanilla pods in half lengthwise;
  • Preheat the oven, 180°C;
    In a saucepan, heat the milk and the vanilla pod; stop at once when the milk starts to boil; add the cane sugar; stir;
  • Let the milk cool off and the vanilla pod infuse for few minutes;
  • Roughly cut the brioche;
  • With a knife, scrape the vanilla pods to extract the grains; add them in the milk; stir;
  • Whisk the eggs and the dark brown sugar;
  • Whisk the eggs and the dark brown sugar until well frothy;
  • Continue to whisk while incorporating the milk;
  • Soak the brioche in the preparation;
  • Grease a cake tin; pour the preparation; lightly tamp;
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes until well browned;
  • Cover and continue baking for 10-15 minutes;
  • On a greaseproof paper sheet, return the baking tin upside down to cool down the cake; unmold;
  • Slice and Enjoy!
