Ingredients

  • 200 g Plain Flour
  • 100 g Salted Butter
  • 100 g Caster Sugar
  • 20 g Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Sift the flour, sugar, and spices into a large bowl or into the stand mixer bowl;
  • Add the butter and process until the mixture well combined;
  • It should look like sand;
  • Add the egg and continue to knead for 2 minutes until it forms a ball;
  • Dust a plate with flour and cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate for 30 minutes;
  • Dust a cutting board with flour and roll out the dough into 5 mm thick;
  • Cut the dough into shapes with cookie cutters; place cookies onto a baking tray;
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned; cool down the cookies on a cooling tray;
  • Enjoy!
