Ingredients
- 60 ml Water
- 25 g Butter
- 40 g Plain Flour
- 1 egg
- 45 g Grated Cheese Emmental or Comté
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
- Prepare and weigh all the ingredients;
- Preheat the oven (210°C);
- In a saucepan, heat the water and the butter until well melted; keep stirring;
- Pour the flour in one time and stir until incorporated;
- Continue turning the dough until it forms one smooth ball; keep heating for 2 minutes;
- Remove the saucepan out of the stove; add the egg;
- Stir until smooth;
- Add the cheese; stir until smooth;
- Put the dough in a pastry bag;If you don't have a pastry bag, you can use a freezing bag (cut a corner of the freezing bag)
- Form small balls (2 centimeters) on a baking tray;
- Use a greaseproof paper or grease lightly the baking tray;
- Bake, mid-level oven position, for 20-30 minutes according to the size of your chouquettes;
- Stop when chouquettes are well browned;
- Chouquettes can be eaten warm or cold;Enjoy!
